Those interested in serving on the Newark City Schools Board of Education should submit a notice of their interest, in writing, to district treasurer Julio Valladares and Board President Cindy Neely before the end of the business day on January 17. Please submit via email to jvalladares@newarkcityschools.org and cneely@newarkcityschools.org with the subject line: NCS Board Vacancy.
Congratulations to the students who achieved academic awards for the 2nd quarter of the 2024-25 school year on the Principal's List (4.0), Honor Roll (3.5-3.99), and Merit Roll (3.0-3.49).

NHS drama will perform the play at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, and 2 and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, in the Lawrence E. Griffin Performing Arts Center at Newark High School.
